Two years ago, end of November 2014, I signed up a gym membership and also personal training. Somehow, I realized health is important as in when I was younger my focus would be what I looking for in life like career, save money to buy stuff that I like and visit places of attraction. From the daily office work to home, eat, sleep and watch TV dramas… then, there are many people talked about exercises, marathons, they went classes like yoga… Yeah, I tried that before as well, yoga classes in 2011, ran for 5 km/10km events in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
And then I thinking of get more serious into fitness and that when I started with the gym membership. I am glad of getting started with that, with the PT, more regular like once or twice a week. There were some off of wagon times in between but I return after some weeks. I picked up slowly and I knew what I like to workout on. The goal from the beginning was to get toned and gain muscle mass, it is still my goal now, and everything would be in maintenance mode after the persistence.
It did not last very long that I felt not much improvement, said 3-4 months after hitting at gym… you know celebrities looked so good and how about to have that sexy body shape & six-packs? People sharing in FB on exercises YouTube videos like planks (it was pretty hot topic that time), that’s where I found Rebecca Louise’s (IG @rebeccalouisefitness) workout videos which I still remember it was a variation of planks that you won’t find bored on one same spot (I luv it!). I also found some of her old workout videos (XHIT), one that I really did for 3 months everyday was the 10 minutes abs workout, with that I really get to see my abs. These are quite old stories of my beginning of fitness journey.
I got some free times after I off from my project work, meaning to say I hit gym more often for couple of months. End of 2015 and beginning of 2016, I found IG accounts on so many fitness people. I followed Amanda Bisk (IG @amandabisk) and also got her Fresh Body Fit Mind (FBFM) and stretching guides. She was one recommended in Vogue Magazine, which that time I was casually read in Twitter. With the guides, I can do guided exercises at home. I LOVE IT!
